Carol And Adam Part Two
Today was Carol and Adam's wedding. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful ceremony. Between Ted and me I think we took around 300 pictures. Obviously I'm not going to post all 300 images but I thought I would share a few pictures from the day. The first picture is Carol's parents, sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. The second picture is Brandon holding a ceremony program. The third picture is Carol and Ted before the ceremony. Picture four is Ted and me before the ceremony. Pictures five and six are Carol with family before the ceremony. Finally Adam makes an appearance in the seventh picture with Carol and Brandon at the reception.

Carol And Adam Part One
Today was Carol and Adam's rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. All of these pictures were taken at the rehearsal dinner which was held at Milano's Italian restaurant in Ventura. The first picture is Carol and Adam. The second picture is Carol and her family. The third picture is Carol and me. The fourth picture is in honor of Callie, our very own fat cat.

Housewife Living
My mother-in-law is visiting for a few days. This is a picture of the magazine she is reading. She said it loosely translates to Housewife Living in English. I like how bright and colorful the entire magazine is. The paper quality is also very nice; thick and glossy pages. It reminds me of fancy art magazines.

Sneaky Callie Part 2
True to form we found Callie in our downstairs guestroom this afternoon laying on her absolutely favorite blanket. Ted's mom is staying with us for a few days, so we left the downstairs guestroom door open. I love how Callie looks pissed when I found her here as if she is saying, "How dare you bother me." Of course Callie has all of us completely charmed, so instead of kicking her out, Ted's mom took a nap with a very content Callie.

Sneaky Callie
We have two guests rooms and we keep the doors shut to keep the rooms as cat hair free as possible for our guests. Of course since we don't often allow her in these two rooms she tries to get in them as often as possible. I was vacuuming earlier and left the door to one of the guest rooms open. It's no surprise that's where I found Callie sound asleep a few hours later.

Mr. Darcy
This is a picture of my parent's dog Mr. Darcy. He is a Labra-Doodle. He is a very sweet dog with a lot of energy. I took many pictures of him but he is always moving so most of them are a black blur. I thought this one turned out pretty well.
*I took this picture while I was visiting my family in NC earlier this month.

License Checkpoint
Yesterday they had a license check point in Lompoc. When it was my turn to show my license I asked the officer if there was a particular reason for the check point. He replied that they have periodic check points to catch unlicensed drivers and drivers under the influence to help keep motorists safe. Funding for the periodic check points comes from a grant.

Final Project
Tonight I turned in my final group project for my Human Resources Development class. This project has been the bane of my existence for the past several weeks and I was glad to get it out of my hands. I thought my group's presentation went well but according to the feedback we received from our instructor I don't know that she felt the same way. All I can say is good riddance to this class.

Bar-b-que
Our friends Aaron, Michelle, Allisa, and Chris joined us this evening for a bar-b-que. Chris and Allisa brought their dogs Lucky and Maggie. The second picture is of Maggie; she is 4 months old and is quite a little lady. I didn't really get a good picture of Lucky but you can see him in the group shot.
Huan huan
Our friends Bryce and Nicole went to the Olympic games in Beijing. Nicole (knowing how much I love tote bags) bought me this tote bag with the FUWA Huan huan image. Life size characters of the FUWA walked around the Olympic games. Bryce and Nicole got their picture taken with each of the 5 FUWA, and they commented that Huan huan was the most elusive of the 5 FUWA. Click here to read more about the FUWA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuwa.
*Due to being overwhelmingly tired I did not post a picture yesterday so this post is for 9/5/2008.

Old Salem And Bojangles
It was another great day in NC. My mom wanted to go to the MESDA museum in Old Salem, so my dad and I took her there for her birthday. It is a really neat museum which focuses on southern decorative art and furniture. Before the MESDA tour we quickly walked through the Children's Toy Museum which was actually fascinating. We all wished we had more time to spend there. Since I had to catch a flight to CA later that afternoon we weren't able to spend much time touring Old Salem, but we did have time for lunch at one of my favorite restaurants, Bojangles. I eat there at least once every time I go to NC. So delicious.

Emergency Room And Beyond
So the day did not start off well. It began with a 2:00 AM trip to the ER. Believe me it was a last resort and I don't relish the thought of ever having to go again. Fortunately my condition was a pretty quick fix and once I was released I was free to go about the rest of my day. The good news is the rest of the day was wonderful. I took my grandmother to lunch at her favorite restaurant and then grocery shopping. Later that evening she came to my parent's house for dinner. One of my main reasons for going to NC was to spend time with my grandmother and an unexpected trip to the ER was not going to stop me!
