Cutie Patootie

During lunch today I stopped in to see Carolyn and Ilaria. I didn't take many pictures of Ilaria since I was enjoying holding her too much to be bothered with the camera. As I was leaving I snapped a few pictures and this one is my favorite.

A friend of ours gave us tickets to a Dodger's game in May. My favorite part of live sporting events is the food. Go Dodgers!

It's been while since I've read any gossip magazines. Ted bought these for me at the store yesterday and I've enjoyed catching up on all the celebrity news.

Ted and I watched Zach and Miri Make a Porno this afternoon. Pretty funny movie.

New York, New York

Ted and I leave for NYC next Saturday. Carolyn and Vince graciously lent us this guidebook and street map for our visit. The guidebook on the left will come in particularly handy. New York, here we come!

Baby Ilaria

Carolyn and Ilaria were released from the hospital this afternoon, and Ted and I stopped by their house after work. Here is Ilaria tuckered out from a busy afternoon.

Precious Baby

I am so pleased to announce the arrival of Ilaria, the first child of our friends Carolyn and Vince. Ted and I got to visit them in the hospital just a few hours after Ilaria was born. She is absolutely gorgeous, and we could not be any happier for our friends.

Lionel Richie

I've rediscovered my love of Lionel Richie and I've been listening to this CD a lot lately. Lionel never goes out of style.

Magnet

I was struggling with what to take a picture of today. Ted suggested I take a picture of the magnet he recently received from UCSB after becoming a lifetime member of their alumni association, and write as the caption, "I became a lifetime member and I all got was this lousy magnet." I decided to do it because I think it's funny, and it's true.

Our trusty Hoover vacuum cleaner (top picture) died last night so we had to buy a new one. After researching options online we decided to go with a Dyson. We brought it home this evening (bottom picture) and we are excited to see what it can do.

Ted and I watched Max Payne this weekend. It wasn't a great movie, but it wasn't all that bad either.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

I had the desire for something sweet this afternoon so I baked chocolate chip cookies. Ted and I ate a lot when they were fresh and hot out of the oven. Enough where we both had stomach aches later in the evening.

Easter Fun

This morning when I arrived at work I found an egg on my desk (picture #1). The egg had a message inside (picture #2), and when I went to claim my prize I was awarded with a chocolate bunny (picture #3). The last picture is of the eggs and prizes Kitty and Ann passed out for Easter. It was a fun way to start the day.

Breaking Dawn

I bought the last book in the Twilight series at Costco last weekend. I can't wait to read it, but I don't want the series to be over. Quite the catch-22.

I certainly don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the UNC men's basketball team will be the 2009 NCAA champions. Going into the second half they were up by 21, and with 11:18 left to play UNC is up by 18. Go Heels!

Fast And Furious

Ted and I saw Fast and Furious this afternoon.

Beautiful Day

It was a beautiful day in central CA today. After my class Ted and I hung out in Santa Barbara and enjoyed the warm weather. I've heard so much about pinkberry and I was excited about trying their frozen yogurt. Maybe I'm too much of a junk food junkie, but I didn't like it. My experience definitely did not live up to the hype. After pinkberry Ted and I saw Off Leash, a pet boutique that sells all kinds of goodies for cats and dogs. We bought Callie a few treats. All in all it was a great afternoon in Santa Barbara.

Strategic Compensation

My new class starts tomorrow. Bright and early at 9 AM.

Jungle George Grill

My friend Carolyn and I tried a new restaurant today, Jungle George Grill. It has an interesting array of menu items, including a bison burger, a venison burger, and an ostrich burger. Neither Carolyn nor I were quite that adventurous, but our dishes were tasty none the less.

Thin Mints

Super delicious. I've already eaten three boxes all by myself. I always look forward to Girl Scout cookie season.
