Stopwatch

Every now and then Ted receives tchotchkes from vendors he works with. Today he gave me this stopwatch he received. This may actually come in handy one of these days.

Champagne

This is the first bottle of champagne I've ever bought. I purchased it as a thank you to my co-worker Dan for inviting Ted and me to the UCLA vs. Arizona State football game. Thank you Dan!

Holiday Cheer

I bought my Christmas cards today and I found this fleece holiday themed blanket I know Callie will love.

Fudge, Flowers, And Rock Band

Even though I had to work today it turned out to be a wonderful day. My friend Pat made fudge yesterday and brought me a sample; very delicious! Ted bought these beautiful flowers to help brighten my day since I did have to work. And we wrapped up the night playing Rock Band with Adam on vocals, Carol on drums and Ted on guitar.

The Proposal

We watched The Proposal this evening and it was much funnier than we anticipated. We all really enjoyed it.

Rock Band

Adam and Carol arrived this evening for Thanksgiving. They brought the game Rock Band with them. It should be an interesting weekend.

Faker

Whenever Ted picks up his guitar to play Callie runs and hides. It's funny though because she loves to relax by the guitar and amp. I think she's a big faker and really likes the guitar.

Time After Time

Another issue of Time arrived in the mail today. I had forgotten how much fun it is to receive a new magazine each week.

Winter Workshop

I'm not sure who Stevie is but his winter workshop is all set up at Home Depot in Lompoc.

UCLA vs. Arizona State

What a fun day. Ted and I attended the UCLA vs. Arizona State football game courtesy of my coworker Dan. After the game we met Edward and his girlfriend Stacy at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.

Blood: The Last Vampire

We've been on a vampire movie kick lately which we kept alive by watching Blood: The Last Vampire.

Rose Bowl Here We Come

My coworker Dan won four tickets to the UCLA-Arizona State football game in an auction. Dan invited Ted and me to join him and his girlfriend for the game this Saturday. We are also going to attend the Chancellor's tailgate party before the game which promises a lot of delicious food. I am looking forward to Saturday as I will get to do two things I really enjoy: 1) Eat and 2) attend a live sporting event. Thank you Dan!

Monday Was Library Day... Finally

After two weeks of no books (BORING) I finally went to the library on Monday night to select new books to read. Even Callie is excited about my picks.

Happy Happy Joy Joy

I received the Winter 2010 UCSB Extension course catalog in the mail last week and it is hard to express the joy I feel knowing I will complete the HR certification program this quarter and I do not have to register for a class next quarter. Next quarter will be the first time in over two years that I won't be taking a class. I am happy about that.

Ted Is Rocking Out

Ted's electric guitar arrived in the mail last Friday and he is already rocking out.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Ted and I watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Friday night. I fell asleep about 1/2 way into the movie and apparently I didn't miss much. My favorite characters in the movie are Bumblebee and Optimus Prime if that tells you anything about the acting in the this movie.

Chilly Pismo Beach

Ted and I drove up to Pismo Beach today. It was a bit chillier than we anticipated but that did not stop us from enjoying lunch at Mo's. We didn't walk around much because it was quite windy and chilly but we still had a great time.

The Best Baby In The Restaurant

Yummy food and great company... what a great way to finish off the week. Ted and I met Carolyn, Vince, and Ilaria at Madam Lu's for dinner tonight. Ilaria had a great time playing with the soup spoons. They turned out to be the perfect shape and size for her. Oh, and Ilaria was the cutest and the best behaved baby in the entire restaurant.

Am I Crazy...Quite Possibly

My friend Danielle invited me to run the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll 1/2 marathon with her in Phoenix, AZ in January 2010. For some crazy reason I said yes. It's been 8 years since I trained for distance running but I'm actually excited about getting out all of my old running gear and putting on the (new) Asics and training. Wish me luck.

Thank You Card

My friend Pat returned to work today after a leave of absence. She brought me this beautiful card and delicious chocolate to thank her for my help during her leave. It was completely unnecessary but a lovely surprise.

Time

My first issue of Time arrived in the mail today. I always enjoy reading it at the gym so I figured why not order a subscription. I feel like quite the adult with my subscription to Time magazine.

People

Sooner or later I should get a subscription to People. I'm sure that would be less expensive than buying it off the rack.

Mega Winner!

Our friend Vince won big at the Chumash Casino poker tournament today. Vince placed second out of 371 players. Ted played in the tournament as well and after he got knocked out (he placed 52) he and I watched Vince play at the final table. It was very exciting to know someone at the final table. Chumash Casino had a professional photographer on hand to take pictures but I managed to snap a few pictures to commemorate Vince's phenomenal playing. Go Vince!

Let The Right One In

We watched Let The Right One In this evening. I thought it was a scary movie. It wasn't. It is a vampire movie. I thought the pace of the movie was slow but Ted enjoyed it which is good since this was his pick.

Amazingly Smooth

Yesterday I saw one of my coworkers drinking a diet Cherry Dr. Pepper. He said he loves it and I have to try it so he brought one in for me today. Apparently it is Amazingly smooth. I guess I will find out tomorrow at lunch if I think that is true.

Sign Of The Times

We had the first confirmed case of the swine flu in my office yesterday. Today industrial sized bottles of hand sanitizer and Clorox disinfecting wipes appeared all over the building.

Oink Oink

We did not have as many trick-or-treaters as we expected (we had about 50) so we have lots of candy left over. We picked out the candy we don't like and took it to work and are keeping the candy we like so we can eat the rest. Oink oink.

Boring
