Ted's Incredible

Ted's new cell phone, the Droid Incredible by HTC, arrived in the mail today. We are both stepping in to the future with new smart phones. Ted ordered the Palm Pre Plus for me which should arrive Monday.

Inaugural Book Club Meeting

Jessica and I had our first book club meeting over lunch today. Our reading of The Help led us into an interesting discussion of culture relations in the U.S.

Where The Wild Things Are

Ted and I watched Where the Wild Things Are this evening. The movie is different than the book but it is still a cute story.

Free Movie Ticket

My boss received an email solicitation from a company that provides employee incentives. I am trying out the free movie ticket option to see what we think about the service.

2012

Ted and I watched 2012 last night. It isn't a bad movie but it is too long. It didn't need to be 2 hours and 25 minutes long. It just didn't.

Madonna Inn

On our way out of SLO this morning we drove through the Madonna Inn parking lot. We weren't curious enough to actually get out of the car and go inside but it's so kitschy we felt it deserved a drive by.

Fun In SLO And Morro Bay

What a fantastic day. Ted and I started our day with breakfast as Louisa's Place in SLO. After breakfast we started our bike tour around SLO. It took about 2 hours and was a great way to see some of the interesting sights of SLO. After our bike tour we headed to Morro Bay where we spent the afternoon. For dinner we ate at Thia Classic Cuisine; some of the best Thai food I've ever eaten. All in all it was a fun filled and exciting day.

SLO Bound

Ted and I arrived in SLO this afternoon and it is a super charming town. We had a great time walking around downtown checking out the shops and of course eating.

Picture2 #3-4: There is a small creek that runs behind some of the shops on Higuera Street and there is a nice walking path that we walked down.

Happy Birthday Ilaria!

Tonight Ted and I met Ilaria, Carolyn, and Vince for dinner to celebrate Ilaria's first birthday. It's hard to believe it's been an whole year since she was born. She is such a beautiful and smart girl. Ted and I look forward to spending many more birthdays with Ilaria and her family.

Ilaria Is Turning One

Ilaria will be one on Thursday and Ted and bought her gifts we hope she enjoys.

The Men Who Stare at Goats

Ted and I watched The Men Who Stare at Goats this afternoon. Although I thought overall the movie was a bit slow there is a lot of funny dialogue.

Library Day

Library day today. It was way overdue.

John Lemon

The over-sized lemon has taken on a life of its own. Someone dressed him up and named him. Meet John Lemon.

A Study In Lemons

My coworker brought in several lemons from her lemon tree. I was awed by the size of two of the lemons. To give some perspective, the lemon in the back right is the typical size you see in the grocery store (a little bit smaller than a tennis ball). The lemon in the back left is so big it is growing its own lemon. Very interesting.

More Wild Flowers

I know they weren't planted on purpose, but the hills along Highway 1 are filled with beautiful yellow wild flowers. Picture #2 is the hill in our neighborhood covered with flowers.

Health Care Reform

I attended a seminar this morning regarding the new health care legislation. It's enough to make me rethink my career path.
