Perfectly Pregnant

My coworkers are so excited about Baby Chi and several ladies have brought me different pregnancy and motherhood books to read. Today my worker Terre brought me this book Perfectly Pregnant. It's a little old school (from the early 90's) but it is the thought that counts.

Final Haul

The books kept being discounted so I kept buying more. Here is my final haul that I purchased from my company's United Way book sale fundraiser. I got all of these books for $10. A steal!

Euros

We picked up the euros we ordered today. It's sad the exchange rate is what it is, but that won't stop us from having a wonderful time in Paris.

Preparing For Paris

After work today Ted and I headed to Magellan's travel store to pick up a few items for our upcoming trip. I bought a very sexy travel belt that fits underneath my clothes to store money, my passport, etc. It is particularly sexy considering how much I have to let the strap out to actually fit it around my growing belly.

Think Pink

We found out today we are having a girl! Baby Girl Chi was not in the mood to have her picture taken today so we didn't get any clear 3D pictures of her face. Instead of posting 2D pictures from our ultrasound I am posting a picture of the free swag we got from the doctor's office today.

Adorable Boys

My friend Jennifer sent these pictures of her son Brodie on his first day of kindergarten. Brodie's younger brother, Gavin, and their dad, Craig dropped of Brodie at school. I can't believe how much they've grown.

Book Sale Purchases

I purchased 4 books at my company's book sale today and they only cost me $5. Quite a bargain.

In The Nick Of Time

I went to the library yesterday and got there about 10 minutes before they closed. They wouldn't let me go to the regular stacks to look for books but I was able to check out the new releases. Even with limited time I still managed to find two books to check out.

Candy Grams

As part of my company's United Way campaign you can buy candy grams and send them to other employees. I received three candy grams last week, Starburst candy, a Snickers bar, and M&Ms. The M&Ms didn't make it into the picture; I ate them before I could take a picture.

My sister sent me this picture of Nicholas and Emiah at three weeks old. The picture was taken by my sister's friend Chezley Royster, who is a professional photographer.

Rusty's Pizza

Remind me to not volunteer to be in charge of ordering lunch for a large group of people. We are having a pizza lunch fundraiser at my office tomorrow and it seems like at every turn someone is not happy about the choices we've made. If people aren't complaining about where we are ordering pizza from then they are complaining about the toppings we've ordered. Enough already. Just be quiet and eat your pizza.

To Read Or Not To Read

That really is the question. I can't decide whether to reread the Harry Potter series before watching the final movie. What to do what to do.

My Aunt Rocks!

When we were in Solvang on Sunday I found a boutique that sells baby clothes that you can customize with different sayings. Of course I bought matching onsies for Nicholas and Emiah with the saying, "My Aunt Rocks!" which is true of course.

Solvang

We took Ted's mom to Solvang this afternoon. After lunch at Mandarin Touch Chinese restaurant we slowly meandered around the charming town of Solvang.

Pismo Beach

We took Ted's mom to Pismo Beach today for lunch at Mo's and a walk along the pier. The sun wasn't out while we were there but we had a nice time strolling along the beach.

Mr. Bojangles

No trip to NC is complete without as least one trip to Bojangle's. During my last trip I managed to eat there twice.

Family History

When I was in NC last week my parents gave me this picture of my grandmother. My grandmother is the baby and from left to right are her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The picture was taken in 1915 sometime between June 2, my grandmother's birth date, and August 20, when her great-grandmother passed away. Such an amazing piece of family history.

Me-Maw

While I was in NC last week I had the opportunity to spend time with my grandmother each day. I've always been close with my grandmother and it's hard to live so far away from her so I cherish the time that I get to spend with her.

We decided to change up our Heart Walk group photo this afternoon by posing as if we are smelling the flowers. It was a small group of walkers today but we had great weather and a fun walk.

The sporty Ford that got me around safely during my trip to NC. I don't remember if it is a Focus or a Fiesta but either way it was a sporty little car and it treated me well.

Nicholas And Emiah Go On A Walk

Suzie and I took Nicholas and Emiah for a walk today. It was pretty hot today so we kept the walk pretty short, only about 15 minutes and the babies slept through the entire walk.

Nicholas And Emiah!

I met my niece and nephew today! They are too precious for words and totally captured my heart. I took so many pictures of them and it was hard to choose just one to post but I like this picture of them side by side in their car seats. Sweet little babies.

A Classic View

I flew into Raleigh this evening and decided to make a quick detour to Chapel Hill on the way to my parent's house. This is a classic view of the UNC bell tower.

Dinner With Edward And Stacy

Tomorrow I head to NC to visit my family and Ted heads to San Diego to visit his family. I'm flying out of LAX so we drove down to LA after work this evening. Even though it was a long day we did get to have dinner with Ted's cousin Edward and his wife Stacy so that made it worth the long drive after work.
