Halloween 2011

Halloween is a big deal at my company and many employees dress up and decorate their departments. This year the two best themes were a 1920s circus and a day at the farm.

Baby Names

One of the many things Ted and I need to do before our daughter is born is decide on her name. I bought this book yesterday in the hopes that it will help us select a name.

Fun Day In The City

I am visiting our friends Bryce and Nicole in the bay area this weekend. This will probably be my last pre-baby trip as my doctors don't want me to travel after the end of November. I lucked out on the weather while I was visiting. The temperature on Saturday and Sunday was in the eighties. Pretty amazing for the end of October. We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and spent Saturday in San Francisco.

The Four Seasons Westlake Village

I am attending a conference at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. It is such a luxurious hotel I wish I could extend my stay but I don't have $350/night to spend on hotels. It's a good thing another company is footing the bill for my stay.

Win Win

Ted and I watched Win Win last night. It is a quirky comedy that we both really enjoyed.

Babies R Us

Our friend Carolyn and her daughter Ilaria took Ted and me to Babies R Us today to help us with our baby registry. Carolyn's help was invaluable and it was so wonderful having a parent share their experiences to help us narrow down the overwhelming number of options.

I attended the 2011 SBHRA annual conference today and they handed out these fun swag bags. I like the sentiment on the bag. I do need to think thin.

These Eyes Are Watching You

My coworker Sue made these amazing eyeball cupcakes and brought them in to share. Yummy.

2012 ASPCA Calendar

We received our 2012 ASPCA calendar in the mail today. I sneaked a peak at the animals featured in next year's calendar and I look forward to enjoying them again in 2012.

Priest

Ted and I watched Priest yesterday evening. It's not the type of movie I typically enjoy but it was Ted's pick and since it was his birthday I decided to watch it with him.

Lordy, Lordy, Look Who's Forty

Today is Ted's 40th birthday, and per his request we kept it very low key and quiet. We spent most of the day at home relaxing but we did go out for Thai food and finished the day with ice cream cake. Happy birthday, Ted.

Birthday Lunch For Ted

We met Ted's cousin Edward and his wife Stacy, and our friends Joe and Rena for lunch at Carlitos this afternoon for lunch to celebrate Ted's birthday which is tomorrow.

Pumpkin Monkey

My coworker Ann bought Baby this pumpkin monkey for Halloween. This is Baby's first stuffed animal.

Baby Classes

We finally received confirmation for our baby classes in the mail today. We start our baby education in November.

Baby's Lunch Craving

Is it wrong to blame my fast food craving on my daughter? She really did want a grilled cheese and french fries for lunch. How could I deny her her cravings?
