We received this fun plush turtle today from my coworker Liz. It is so cute and will look great in our daughter's nursery.

Baby Bouncer

We received this baby bouncer from Ted's sister Nancy and her family today. Nancy said she used a bouncer with both of her sons and she could not live without it. We look forward to using the bouncer with our daughter.

Got Breast Milk?

Ted and I attended a breastfeeding class this evening. It was interesting and contained information that we needed to learn, however I did not care for the instructor. Her instruction method was a bit too aggressive for my taste. She made it sound like you are a bad mom if you don't breastfeed. I have every intention of breastfeeding our daughter, however I don't like being told that I will be a bad mom if for some reason breastfeeding does not work out.

Green Lantern

Ted and I watched Green Lantern last night and I will have to say I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, and not because it starred Ryan Reynolds, which Ted said is the reason I would like this movie.

Guestroom No More

We are turning our upstairs guestroom into the nursery. Adam helped Ted and me rearrange and move furniture so we start decorating the nursery. I love our guestroom however I am going to love the room even more as our baby's nursery.

Presents For Baby

Carol, Adam and their son Zachary came up to stay with us for the Thanksgiving holiday. They brought Baby lots of fun gifts including a bath tub, bath products, a Winnie the Pooh bath towel, a purple ballerina piggy bank, a bear blanket, and a CD/DVD. It's amazing to think there are only two months until Baby's arrival.

Peter Rabbit

Ted went to Las Vegas last weekend for a guys weekend. While he was there he bought Baby this Peter Rabbit plush animal. He will be a great addition to her nursery.

Sock Monkey

My friend Kitty gave me this sock monkey sleeper and hat for Baby. It is the cutest little sleeper and it even has a tail.

The Tillman Story

I watched this documentary about Pat Tillman this evening. I didn't know much about Pat Tillman prior to him enlisting in the military, but he led an interesting life and his family was amazing in regard to their desire to find out the truth about how he died.

In The Nick Of Time

The Lompoc Library's hours keep getting shorter and shorter. It used to be open until 6:00 on Saturdays but I found out today it now closes at 5:00 on Saturdays. I arrived at the library at 4:50 and fortunately it was just enough time to quickly pick out a few books.

More Pink

Kitty surprised me again with more cute clothes and pink booties for Baby. I have a feeling that Kitty is going to spoil Baby even more than Ted and I will spoil her.

Lots O' Pink

My friend Kitty surprised me with this cute onesie and matching hat. Kitty is super excited for Ted and me and she says she can't help purchase gifts for Baby.

Building Baby's Library

Kitty bought two more books to add to Baby's library. I can't wait until she arrives so we can start reading these books to her.

Starting Baby's Library

One of the things I hope our daughter inherits from me is a love for reading. My friend Kitty bought these two books for Baby. These are Baby's first books in her very own library.

Somewhere

Ted and I watched Somewhere last night. I'm sure there is a plot in the movie somewhere but I surely did not find it.

UNC Booties

Our friends Danielle and Dave and their two sons sent this precious gift for Baby. I went to high school with Danielle and she was my roommate at UNC for two years. Danielle is determined that our daughter, just like her two sons, will be a UNC baby.

Baby At Pismo Beach

Ted and I headed to Pismo Beach this afternoon for lunch at Mo's and a walk along the pier. We figure this will be our last opportunity to go to Pismo Beach before Baby is born. Mo's did not disappoint and we had a delicious lunch and then enjoyed the nice afternoon weather.

Getting Ready For Baby

Ted and I are somewhat worried about how Callie is going to react when we bring Baby home so we asked our vet for tips on how to help make it a smooth transition. Once Baby arrives things are going to different for the entire family and we want to do everything we can to help Callie with the transition.

Mickey

Mickey is the featured animal for November in my ASPCA calendar. Mickey is a tuxedo cat just like our Callie.

Gift Wrap

I bought gift wrap and gift bags from a girl one of my co-workers tutors and it arrived today. I have lots of fun bags to use for the holidays.

Childbirth Edcuation

Ted and I attended our first childbirth education class this evening. Even though it is a late class (7-9 pm) we enjoyed it. We can tell we are going to learn a lot of valuable information about getting ready for what to expect during labor and delivery.

Hawaii Beach Baby

My supervisor Sharon went to Hawaii for three weeks and she brought back this cute onesie for Baby. Our baby is going to be a Hawaii beach babe.

Baby Basics

Ted and I attended a baby basics class this morning. We learned all kinds of things we need to know about caring for our daughter for the first 3-6 months. We have 11 weeks until she's born but it was nice to learn some tips about about how to care for her when she arrives.

Baby Charlotte

Our friends Carolyn and Vince welcomed their daughter Charlotte on Wednesday. I had the pleasure of meeting Charlotte this afternoon. She is a sweetie pie.

Time To Read

I'm trying to get lots of reading in before baby arrives because I know my opportunities to read once she arrives will be limited.

Baby Gifts

I saw Stacy, a woman I worked with several years ago, at the conference I attended last week in Westlake Village. Today I received a package at work today and it was a gift for baby from Stacy. She sent a cute penguin onesie and a hand print kit. It was incredibly thoughtful of her.
