Mega Winner!

Our friend Vince won big at the Chumash Casino poker tournament today. Vince placed second out of 371 players. Ted played in the tournament as well and after he got knocked out (he placed 52) he and I watched Vince play at the final table. It was very exciting to know someone at the final table. Chumash Casino had a professional photographer on hand to take pictures but I managed to snap a few pictures to commemorate Vince's phenomenal playing. Go Vince!

Let The Right One In

We watched Let The Right One In this evening. I thought it was a scary movie. It wasn't. It is a vampire movie. I thought the pace of the movie was slow but Ted enjoyed it which is good since this was his pick.

Amazingly Smooth

Yesterday I saw one of my coworkers drinking a diet Cherry Dr. Pepper. He said he loves it and I have to try it so he brought one in for me today. Apparently it is Amazingly smooth. I guess I will find out tomorrow at lunch if I think that is true.

Sign Of The Times

We had the first confirmed case of the swine flu in my office yesterday. Today industrial sized bottles of hand sanitizer and Clorox disinfecting wipes appeared all over the building.

Oink Oink

We did not have as many trick-or-treaters as we expected (we had about 50) so we have lots of candy left over. We picked out the candy we don't like and took it to work and are keeping the candy we like so we can eat the rest. Oink oink.
