Mu Part One

I stayed at Carolyn and Vince's house last night and had the opportunity to photograph Mu. This must be a favorite spot of his as he continued to return to it throughout the evening.

The Murals Of Lompoc

Ted and I decided to ride our bikes and check out the murals of Lompoc. The number and quality of the murals is quite amazing. We had a great time checking them out. The pictures are in no particular order, and are a sample of my favorite murals. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Season's Greetings

Ted and I had dinner this evening at Outback Steakhouse. As we were leaving the restaurant I saw this Season's Greetings sign. I decided to take a picture of the sign as the sentiment is the perfect reflection of this time of year.

Wedding Day Card

I found this card today that my friend Ceci gave us as a wedding card. As soon as I saw it I remember how struck I was by the image. It's hard to articulate what it is about this image I find so appealing. Perhaps it is the sentiment Ceci wrote on the back of the card about the image representing a couple walking together through the pillars of life. Either way, it made me smile when I saw this card today.

Motor And Mr. Bojangles

My friend Kitty and I were talking about her kittens today and it reminded me of my friend AJ's cats Motor and Mr. Bojangles. AJ's cats are the biggest snuggle bunnies, and one day I found them snuggling with each other in my room. They were so adorable. So much so I had to snap some pictures. I wouldn't believe this picture is real if I wasn't the one to take it.

Smart People

Ted and I watched Smart People this evening. Even though there were some hilarious lines, overall the movie was kind of a dud.

Bath And Body Works

Bath and Body Works is having a big sale. It is perfect timing since I had a gift certificate I've been meaning to use for a while. I bought enough shower gel to last quite a while.

Library Books

I finally had the chance to go to the library today, so I checked out four new books to read. Yea!

UNC

I received this UNC merchandise catalog in the mail yesterday. I am so excited to purchase items that reflect my Alma Mater. Go Heels!

Ghosts of Cite Soleil

Ted and I watched this documentary this evening. It wasn't quite what I expected but still interesting.

New Book And Bookmark

I haven't been to the library in a while so I am recycling books I've already read. The Lincoln Lawyer is just as good the second time around. This time I get to use my new bookmark I purchased in Mexico.

We Are Family... Part 2

Tonight is the last night Nancy, Kris, and Brandon are staying with us. Tomorrow they leave for Seattle. We are excited for their new opportunities in Seattle but we are going to miss them. The first picture was taken by me, the second picture taken by Kris, and the third picture taken by Brandon.

Early Thanksgiving

Ted's family came to our house this weekend for an early Thanksgiving celebration since we won't be able to get together on Thanksgiving Day. Adam, Brandon, Carol, and I played a game of Life before dinner. Pictured are Adam and Brandon (and Ted asleep in the background).

Kitty's New Kitten Part Two

My friend Kitty adopted Chloe today. Chloe is Lily's sister, and is just as precious and sweet as Lily.

Zoo

Haleakalā

I did not take any pictures today, so I thought I would share a picture of our trip to Maui in May 2005. Ted and I took a bike trip down the Haleakalā volcano. A van drove our group and our bikes up Haleakalā about 4:00 am so we could watch the sun rise. Once the sun was up we cruised down the outside of the volcano. It was an amazing trip. This picture was taken at the top of Haleakalā right before we started down the volcano. It was freezing at the top!

Lars And The Real Girl

Ted and I watched, Lars and the Real Girl, tonight. I didn't think I would enjoy it, but it is a very sweet (and sad) love story. All of the actors did a phenomenal job. Rent this movie!

Flowers

My very sweet husband surprised me with these beautiful flowers today. I love the rich fall colors.

Kitty's New Kitten

My friend Kitty adopted a kitten, Lily, today. Kitty stopped by our office this afternoon after she picked up Lily from the adoption agency so we could meet her. Lily is nine weeks old and weighs two pounds. She is precious.

Onesie

Our friends Carolyn and Vince are having a baby! :) Ted and I bought this onesie for them while we were in Mexico. We had the best time looking at all the little baby clothes and we settled on a nice orange since they don't yet know whether they are having a boy or a girl. Yea for babies!
