Purse Hook

A received this as a gift last year but I didn't know what it was so I had it in my Goodwill donation pile. Fortunately, my sister-in-law Carol went through my Goodwill bags and knew what it is. It is a hook that you use at a table to hang your purse (the pick disk goes on top of the table and the hook hangs underneath the table to hold your purse. I'm so glad she let me know what it is so now I can use it.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

The holiday decorations are starting to go up in my office. I love this time of year.

The Losers

Ted and I watched The Losers last night. We've been putting off watching it for days as I didn't think I would like it. It turned out to be better than I expected.

Joyful

We picked up Carol and Adam's dog Tia from doggie day care this morning. As is evidenced by the pictures she was overjoyed to see us.

First Card Of The Season

I received my first card of the holiday season today. Let the holidays commence.

Bountiful

When I saw the vegetables Ted was getting ready to prepare for our Thanksgiving lunch the first word I thought of was bountiful. An appropriate word for today. I also snapped a picture of the soda bread I baked. Unfortunately the bread didn't taste as good as it looks in the picture.

The Super Dooper Reindeer Pooper

Each year Walgreens carries funny candy dispenser. This year I could not resist purchasing The Super Dooper Reindeer Pooper. Can anyone blame me? It's a reindeer that poops out jellybeans.

New Frames

After living in our house for 6 1/2 years Ted and I are finally getting around to hanging some pictures. We are still figuring out exactly what we want to hang on one wall in out dining room and so I purchased these frames to give us a reference point.

More Holiday Cards

I received the holiday cards I purchased from the Animal Rescue Site in the mail today. I love purchasing items from this website because each purchase funds donations to animal shelters. This particular purchase funded 28 bowls of food.

Going Green

It seems like every store is encouraging shoppers to go green. I went to Staples yesterday to look at their Kindle e-readers and when I was leaving the store I saw these reusable shopping bags. I purchased one to add to my grocery shopping bag collection.

Good Haul

I scored at the library today. Lots of books by authors I love.

The Karate Kid

Ted and I watched The Karate Kid (starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan) this evening. I didn't have high hopes for this movie but I was pleasantly surprised. The classic The Karate Kid (starring Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita) is still a better movie but this new movie was pretty decent.

Holiday Cards

I purchased holiday cards from the Animal Rescue site (www.theanimalrescuesite.com) but then I saw these cards in the $1 bin at Michaels and decided to buy them too. You can't have too many holiday cards.

Tastefully Simple

My coworker Francee introduced me to a website called Tastefully Simple where you can purchase different mixes that are simple to make but she says are quite yummy. She brought me in this beer bread mix that I will make next week for Thanksgiving. It is ridiculously easy to make and I hope it tastes good.

eBooks

I was talking about books with my friend Kitty yesterday and she mentioned the Santa Barbara library system offers ebooks patrons can download. Today she brought me this flier so I can check it out for myself.

I Love The Dollar Bin

I am a compulsive list maker so these notepads come in handy. I go through so many it's wonderful they are only $1.

The Budget Cafe

Ted and I decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and walk to The Budget Cafe for brunch this morning. Ted ordered one of their "big and thick" hamburgers and said it was a pretty good. I opted for french toast and bacon which were very delicious.

Summer Weather In November

Ted and I spent a glorious afternoon in Pismo Beach. The weather was unbelievable and it felt great to be outside enjoying the warm weather.

Pictures #3-4: After lunch and a walk on the pier Ted and I went to the Monarch Grove. There were an abundance of butterflies to see.

Sushi With Friends

I met a former co-worker, Denise, for lunch today with some other ladies from work at Goleta Sushi. It was nice catching up with Denise over a yummy meal. It's funny that Denise was the guest of honor and she's not even in the picture.

Ted and I watched Iron Man 2 last night. It was just okay.

Fun New Scents

My company's Pre-Paid Legal rep hosted two lunch and learn meetings at my office today and she brought me these bath products as a thank you for arranging the meetings. A very thoughtful gesture.

More Candy

I am still eating Halloween candy and yes I'm still enjoying it.

Course Catalog

I still receive the quarterly UCSB Extension course catalog. Even a year after I finished the Human Resources Management program it still makes me so happy when I receive the course catalog and realize I don't have to sign up for a class.

Pfeifer Original

It's my friend A.J.'s birthday next Monday and since I couldn't think of what to take a picture of today I decided to highlight a handbag A.J. designed through his company Pfeifer Studio. He gave it to me probably 10 years ago and I still use it today.

Get Him To The Greek

Ted and I watched Get Him to the Greek last night. There were several very funny scenes and several scenes that seemed out of place in the movie. Of course I did fall asleep for some of the movie so perhaps that's why some scenes didn't make sense to me.

Bieber Fever

Even thought Ted claims I have Beiber Fever this is not something I created. Some folks in my office put this collage up as a joke for another co-worker's birthday.

I Prefer $75 But I'll Take $25

I applied for the $75 new user rebate from Acuvue for the contact lenses I just purchased. Unfortunately for me Acuvue's records show I purchased contact lenses last year so I was only eligible for the $25 rebate. Even though it's not $75, I will take it.

88 In November

It got even hotter today. It actually got up to 90 degrees but when I snapped this picture at about 1:30 it was only 88 degrees.

Trick-Or-Treat

Ted went to Seattle last weekend to visit his sister Nancy and her family. He was there for Halloween and got to take his nephews trick-or-treating. Ted snapped this picture of Dylan, Nancy, and Brandon before they left to go trick-or-treating.
