Hot Chocolate

So now my company has stopped supplying hot chocolate. All I can say is thank goodness for Costco.

Ted and I watched a Korean movie, Guns and Talks, last weekend. We both enjoyed it quite a bit.

Tasty Treats For Callie

Callie has not been too excited about her food lately so we decided to give her wet food one a week to switch things up a bit. This evening she had Salmon and Tuna, and as evidenced by the picture she was excited about her dinner treat.

2009 Lompoc Flower Festival

The 2009 Lompoc Flower Festival is in full swing. Ted and I went to the Flower Festival in the early evening, and despite it being chillier than we anticipated, we had a great time. Most of the arts and crafts booths were shut down for the evening but we were able to ride rides and eat yummy food.
Picture #1: Beth and Ted in line to ride the Ferris wheel.
Picture #2: A view of the Ferris wheel we rode.
Picture #3: We rode the Ferris wheel with two of the cutest girls you ever hope to meet. They were super chatty and their smiles and laughter were infectious. They asked us all kinds of questions and told us all about the different rides they rode during the day. So cute.
Picture #4: A view from the top of the Ferris wheel.
Pictures #5-6: After the Ferris wheel we rode the Himalaya. I have not ridden this ride in probably 15 or more years and it did not disappoint. It was as fun as ever.
Picture #7: We worked up an appetite walking around and riding rides so we indulged in the food. I had Danish Aebleskiver and Ted had a Philippine noodle dish.

I bought this magazine as incentive to go to the gym tomorrow. I hope it works.

Sizzler

It's been at least six years since I've eaten at Sizzle. I broke that streak today. I don't think it will be difficult for me to wait another six years before eating there again. Pictured left to right: Lisa, Racel, Cheryl, Denise, Melanie, Cynthia, Debra, Beth, Lynnette.

Costa Rica

Our friends Nicole and Bryce went to Costa Rica for their 5 year wedding anniversary. They sent us this postcard of a family of sloths from their travels.

Ilaria And Mu

Ilaria is growing like crazy, and she showed me how she can roll from her stomach to her back (pictures #: 1-3). She handled rolling over like a pro. After rolling over she spent a little more time on her stomach (picture #: 4) but then she was ready to rollover onto her back. Carolyn and Vince brought Mu some round furry toys from the bay area (they look like rabbit's feet) and even though he could not open the drawer to get them out (believe me he tried!) he was content to guard his toys by sitting on top of the table (picture #5). Little Ilaria loves to be bounced on the exercise ball so I took a turn. I'm not as good a bouncer as her mom, but I was able to bounce her to sleep (picture #6).

Cup Of Joe (Maybe)

Two weeks ago my company decided to stop supplying hot drink cups for employees. I don't mind the fact that my company is no longer supplying hot drink cups, but I do think the delivery of the message leaves a lot to be desired. One day we had hot cups and the next day the hot cups were gone. In their place was a sign reading, "We are no longer supplying paper coffee cups. Please bring a mug from home or use one of the extra mugs in the cabinet." Way to let us know ahead of time.

A New Addition

One of my coworkers had a baby boy on June 11th. I was not able to attend her baby shower so I ordered a Babies R Us gift card for her and her family. I look forward to meeting the newest addition to their family.

Solvang

Ted and I decided to spend the afternoon in Solvang, a Danish town about 25 minutes from Lompoc. The weather was beautiful and sunny and it was a great day to be out and about.
Pictures #1-2: Ted and Beth in Solvang.
Picture #3: Danish folk dancing.
Picture #4: I had my fortune read by Zoltar. I'm sure my fortune will come true.

Chocolate

Ted and I watched a Thai film called Chocolate this evening. It had a lot of martial arts action which Ted enjoyed. I have to admit it was better than I thought it would be.

Back To School

It's been nice having a two week break from school. The book for my next class arrived in the mail which is a not so subtle reminder that school resumes on Tuesday.

Thrilling!

I met with a rep this afternoon from Six Flags theme park. The meeting was less than thrilling.

Cherry Bum

After work I stopped by to see Carolyn, Vince, and Ilaria. It's amazing how much she's grown in 8 weeks. She is so alert and active. I couldn't resist taking a picture of her cute onesie with cherries on the bum.

Ironing (Finally)

I've been putting off ironing for weeks. I ran out of work clothes so I couldn't put it off any longer. I know it may not look like a lot, but it takes me forever to iron so it feels like a lot.

Postcard For Me-Maw

I try and send Me-Maw at least one letter or postcard each month. Since we were in Pismo Beach yesterday I bought Me-Maw a postcard to send to her.

Beautiful Sunny Day

What a phenomenally beautiful day. Ted and I spent the afternoon in Pismo Beach eating and enjoying the sunny weather. Even though there are many great places to eat in Pismo Beach we always gravitate to Mo's bar-b-que. After lunch we walked off some of our lunch and enjoyed the sights of Pismo Beach.
Picture #1: Pig on a surfboard at Mo's.
Picture #2: Ted chowing down on ribs.
Pictures #3-4: Beth and Ted on the pier.
Picture #5: A fancy sandcastle on the beach.

Rachel Getting Married

Ted and I watched Rachel Getting Married this evening. Not quite what I expected but it was not bad.

Chocolate Popems

They say don't go grocery shopping when you are hungry. Well, that's exactly what I did this evening, and the result is that I made several impulse buys, including chocolate popems.

Curious Callie

True to form Callie went straight for the Propel box after Ted emptied it this morning. She can't help herself. She loves rubbing against the cardboard and the plastic wrap.

Fresh Start

I am a list making freak, so I use a lot of note pads. Michaels, the arts and crafts supply store, has a lot of cool note pads available for $1. I finished a note pad yesterday at work and decided to take a picture of the new one I started today.

Strawberry Pop Tarts

For many years during high school and college I was addicted to strawberry Pop Tarts. I ate them for breakfast and for snacks. I have not had a Pop Tart in several years and recently when I was grocery shopping they caught my eye so I bought a box. Unfortunately they are as tasty as ever.

The Hangover

Ted and I saw The Hangover this afternoon. Hilarious movie.

RocknRolla

RocknRolla is a much funnier movie than I thought it would be.

Twinkle Toes

We stopped by to see Carolyn, Vince, and Ilaria after work today. Ilaria looked so cute in her cherry print top and her twinkle toes socks, of course we had to take a few pictures.
