Last Saturday we were walking around Carol and Adam's neighborhood when we saw these women standing outside their realty office. They jokingly asked me to take a picture so I did and I emailed a copy to them. Pretty random.

Ted and I stopped at Philippe in LA for lunch on our way to San Marcos. I've heard about Philippe's french dip sandwiches for years and thought it was high time we tried them for ourselves. The sandwiches are good but not so good that I feel I have to go back any time soon.

I finished my last book yesterday and won't have time to get to the library in the next few days so I bought two new books when I went to Target today. Spending more money is what happens when I don't go to the library where books are free.

I wanted to share one more photo from the Pismo Beach Classic Car Show Ted and I attended last weekend. I don't think this really qualifies as a classic car but I was pleased to see it. It reminds me of my friends Sharon and Susan. Sharon was one of my best friends in middle school and high school. Their mom drove a Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country station wagon, complete with the fake wood panelling. I loved that car and seeing this model last Saturday brought back great memories of my childhood.

Ted and I went to the Classic Car Show in Pismo Beach this afternoon. To be perfectly honest we went to Pismo Beach to eat at Mo's and the car show happened to be going on. We are glad our desire to eat barbecue coincided with the car show. We had a great time walking around checking out the cars. It turned out to be a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.

I had lunch with Carolyn and Ilaria today. Ilaria was a very happy girl for most of my visit but then she was not happy when we put the camera away. I will try to remember that for my next visit so I don't make her said when I put the camera away. In pictures 1 and 2 she is happy and smiley. In picture 3 she is not smiley but she is still as cute as a button.

Ted and I finally used the gift certificate we received in February for Saletti's. Saletti's was turned into a sports bar called the Red Zone about two months ago. We were able to use the gift certificate although we didn't spend it all so now we have a $17 gift certificate to the Red Zone. I guess that means we will go back at least one more time. For me the best part of the meal was realizing they have a UNC Tarheels pendant on the wall. Go Heels!

We met Carolyn, Vince, and Ilaria at The Nugget for dinner this evening. We haven't seen them in a few weeks so it was nice to catch up with them.

This is a picture of our table at Suzie and Quincy's reception. I can truthfully say we had the best table at the reception. Let me explain... I did not plan on giving a toast at the reception as I don't feel comfortable speaking in front of crowds. Somehow the microphone made its way to me so I nervously stood and started delivering the toast. I barely got two sentences out when I started to cry (which is why I didn't want to give a toast). I jokingly mentioned it would be easier to deliver the toast if my table mates all stood with me and without hesitation they all did and I finished my toast less nervous and feeling incredibly supported.
