Abigail Finds Her Hands

Abigail recently discovered her hands.  Since discovering her hands she enjoys clasping them together and holding on to objects like the animals on her activity mat.  It is so exciting to watch her grow and learn new things.

100 Day Celebration

Abigail is 100 days old today.  In the Korean culture a baby's 100th day is called baekil.  Families celebrate baekil as a celebration of the blessing of life and to wish the baby good health and future luck.  Also, according to Korean culture, on the baby’s 100th day in this world she has existed for 365 days since she was created in the womb.  It is said the duration of pregnancy is 280 days which is based on the menstrual cycle.  From the actual conception date the length of pregnancy is about 265 days.  So it becomes 365 days when a baby becomes 100 days old.  So baek-il is really another dol (first birthday party in Korean) congratulating the baby’s successful first year.

Santa Barbara Mission

Despite the gloomy weather we toured the Santa Barbara Mission this morning.  The sky was grey and overcast but we didn't encounter any rain during our tour.

My parents are in town visiting Abigail and we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and take Abigail for a walk this afternoon.

Ilaria turns 3 tomorrow and we attended her birthday party this afternoon.  We are so glad we were able to help Ilaria and her family celebrate her 3rd birthday.

Three Months Old

My sweet daughter is three months old today!

Ridiculousness

There is a show on TV called Ridiculousness. That is the word that comes to mind when I look at the clothes hanging in Abigail's closet, which does not take into account the clothes in her dresser. I think she may have more clothes than Ted and me combined.

New Activity Center

We placed Abigail in her activity center today however she is still a little too young for it yet. We will try again in a few weeks.

Callie Found Abigail's Sheep

We have a plush sheep on the floor in Abigail's room. So far Callie has left it alone... until this morning. Now that she has found it we are going to have to find a way to keep her off of it.

Hanging Out
